First I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new clients. For those who don’t yet know who I am, I am Constantinos Coudounaris, CEO of HostRail – I can describe myself as the brain behind HostRail. May has been a very busy month for us all here; we’re working on numerous improvements.

We’re still continuing with our 65% Recurring Discount (use promo HOSTRAILMAY on checkout), I must note however that we’re reaching the end of the campaign slowly, at first we were going to provide this discount to the first 1000 orders, due to how quickly the first 1000 orders came we have increased the limit.

Note that we’ve fixed a serious issue with our Firewall that was blocking IP Addresses of users while trying to order. This issue affected only a small portion of our customers/visitors.

I would like to briefly remind you to join our Facebook Page located at http://www.facebook.com/hostrail and our Twitter Page located at http://twitter.com/hostrail. Latest updates regarding our services will be provided at both accounts.

As of May 2011 HostRail has taken the decision to help non-profit organizations, we have chosen Pets2Adopt. Pets2Adopt is a registered non-profit organization located in Cyprus (EU). With the help of Pets2Adopt we’ve setup a Dedicated Page that provides more information about the Pets2Adopt Scope and Mission, this page can be viewed at http://hostrail.com/donate.php

Personally I am an active member of Pets2Adopt, when I joined Pets2Adopt I went with a simple aim, my aim is to help all animals to have a better life, and all animals deserve a better life and a better future. Helping animals can be done in many ways, some ways include adopting an animal or donating money to support Pets2Adopt mission.

So you may I ask why did I take this decision?

It was Thursday 5th of May 2011, the time was 11:55pm – I decided to take a couple of minutes of rest from working and as such I checked my personal Facebook profile, while I was reading some wall posts from some of my friends I read a wall post from another member of Pets2Adopt. In this wall post in summary the member was informing everyone that they have rescued 8 dogs from Physical Abuse, this was one of the largest rescues that Pets2Adopt did at least while I am a member.

Another member of Pets2Adopt had further posted the following; this is a direct quote however I have translated it in English: “They (the animals) are so many and we (the animal lovers) are so few… The people that sadden me the most are the people that give them hope and then change their minds… The people that anger me even further are the people who leave their dogs to give birth… I fear a lot that this time we have lost the battle, and that innocent souls will be sacrificed in the altar of stupidity. Do something today, tomorrow will be too late.”

After I read this, after I checked the photos of these 8 dogs, after I checked a small video of these 8 dogs I sat on my chair and just thought.

We can all make a difference to help Pets2Adopt fight and achieve, whatever the amount we can help Pets2Adopt. As such we have created a special page where you, our customers, can safely donate to Pets2Adopt. As a way to allow for more flexible payment options, all payments will be handled by us and then we will forward the donations to Pets2Adopt every end of the month or as requested by Pets2Adopt. For Donations we accept the minimum donation of $5 either as a one-time donation or a recurring donation, although in the page you will see the maximum amount being $50 we will accept larger donations – if you are interested in making a larger donation then please email us at donations@hostrail.com and we will make the necessary arrangements.

We’ve also put together two VPS packages and one Shared Hosting Package where all income will be donated to Pets2Adopt.

For more information to donate or order one of the three packages please visit http://hostrail.com/donate.php
